Using world renowned teaching methods, the Santo Rico Dance Co. is proud to extend its teaching methods to a younger generation. In a safe, caring and fun filled environment the SRK program currently offers beginner to intermediate salsa classes, a general Hip Hop class and Lyrical Jazz. These classes will be taught by experienced instructors who will treat each of their students with respect and encourage them to reach their full potential. Class Description

Beginner 1:
This is an introductory class to Salsa. Body movement, timing, and basic steps are introduced to prepare children to continue to the following basic beginner level. Children may repeat this level more than once or may move on to the beginner 2 level upon instructor’s recommendations.

Beginner 2*:
This class is catered to children with at least 1-3 semesters of salsa lessons. Admission into this class is by approval of the instructor only. This course is to further enhance and develop technique and dance skills as well as to acquire a clearer concept of dancing ‘On2’. This level is catered to children with at least 1-3 semesters of Salsa lessons. Admission to this class or any higher level is by approval of the instructor only. This course is to further enhance your basic dance skills and to acquire a clearer concept of dancing “on 2".This level is catered to children with at least 1-3 semesters of Salsa lessons. Admission to this class or any higher level is by approval of the instructor only. This course is to further enhance your basic dance skills and to acquire a clearer concept of dancing “on 2".

Styling & Spinning:
Modeled after the adult Ladies Styling & Spinning class, this class is for young ladies at the beginner 2 level who are ready to add more style and femininity to their dancing while also being introduced to the world renowned Santo Rico Spinning Method.

Hip Hop:
To introduce students to the principles of the dance discipline of hip hop. This is a beginning level dance course with no experience required. Individual work, floor work and partner work will be emphasized. Combinations will be performed to Rap, Pop and R&B music.

Lyrical Jazz:
Training dancers to move from the very middle of the body beyond the boundaries of the studio; movement every person can connect to supported by a ballet- and classic jazz-based warm up.

*Children who register for the Beginner 2 salsa class must also take either hip-hop, lyrical jazz or Styling & Spinning
