In September 2003, the Santo
Rico Kids dance program opened its doors to a class
of just six children. As word of this new program
spread, the class size slowly grew and by March 2005-
with a group of 25 children and two completed choreographies-
The Santo Rico Kids performance team was born. The
added exposure gained from The Santo Rico Kids’
participation in various public events resulted in
an increase in the number of children joining the
program. With the growing class sizes and the increasing
talent of the students, it soon became evident that
the program was ready to expand to include a second
performance team, Las Santoriquitas, who made their
debut in December 2005. Today, Santo Rico Kids dance
program has evolved to become a community of friends
who learn from and support one another. Our classes
have an enrollment of over 80 children, ages 4-15,
who travel from as far away as Connecticut; and our
performance teams have participated in numerous events,
including:
